- Report for the year 2024 of SI Nisporeni Club
This is the fourth year since I have been president of the club. It's an honor for me, thank you for trust granted. It was a year with many activities. Every month I participated in organized activities by us or other institutions or organizations.
The first activity carried out this year was on February, 27th. I organized together with The Museum of Ethnography in Nisporeni, a workshop for making MĂRTIȘOARE - the symbol of spring. Students of schools from Nisporeni, refugees from Ukraine, employees of the local museum, took part in the workshop.
On February, 29th, we organized the Spring Charity Fair. 1100 lei were collected.
On March 4th, within the Seniors' Academy project, we organised the participation of the elderly from the village of Milesti to a folk music concert within the Mărțișor 2024 festival.
On March 5th, Rodica Marian and Daniela Bîrdan organized a meeting of the seniors from the villages Ciutesti and Seliste in the same project.
On March 22nd, together with Aurica Mura, I participated in a meeting to set up a group of initiative of the seniors from the village of Milesti.
On April 26th and 30th we organized an Easter Fair. I collected 1200 lei, 800 lei of them were donated to a mother for procuring medicine for her daughter who suffers of autism.
From June 10th, for 2 weeks, the most important project of the club started, Summer school for teenagers. As you know we had a record number of participants. We have planned a budget for about 45 teenagers, but 62 children participated. Two children went only on the trip. Some children wanted to come on both tours. The workshops were of tailoring and cooking at Vocational School were apreciated.
I hope that the Summer School will be successful this year as well. For this it is necessary to include new activities and guests, personalities to inspire teenagers.
The members of the club were also present at the Ia Festival, organized on June 30. On November 7, together with the students from the Vocational School in Nisporeni, Together with the Social Department Nisporeni and the Education, Youth and Sport Department of the District Council of Nisporeni, we participate at a seminar organized by the Regional Integrated Service for victims of sexual violence.
On November 27th we had a joint meeting with our sisters from Follo and Rygge clubs from Norway.
Every month I had meetings with Mihela Aquelius, general secretary of Soroptimist International from Europe.
Together with the City Hall Nisporeni, we passed the first stage within the grant program of The Local Partnerships for Energy Efficiency in Social Services, project funded by the Soros Foundation Moldova. Works will be carried out to improve the energy efficiency of the Rehabilitation and Social Integration Center for the Elderly "Trust".
All our activities were realised with the support of Soroptimist Clubs from Norway Follo and Rygge, whom we want to thank a lot.
The following activities will be carried out for next year:
- Continuation of the Senior Academy project.
- Organization of the Summer School for teenagers.
- Organizing a Spring Fair.
- Procurement of a bench and a chair for the future park in Vărzărești village.
